To approve an access (Quick Time Change) request via your online account:

  1. Sign into your online account 

  2. Click on To to

  3. Identify the relevant To Do and click on it to open 

  4. Click the Access Type you want to move them to

    1. Play

    2. School

    3. Study

    4. Sleep

  5. Click the time you’d like to change the Access Type for (15 Minutes30 Minutes60 minutes or Rest of day)

  6. Click OK

To approve an access (Quick Time Change) request via the Family Zone app installed on a parent’s device:

  1. Open the Family Zone app installed on a parent’s device

  2. Click on To to

  3. Identify the relevant To Do 

  4. Click the OPTIONS button

  5. Click the Access Type you want to move them to

    1. Play

    2. School

    3. Study

    4. Sleep

  6. Click the time you’d like to change the Access Type for (15 Minutes30 Minutes,1 Hour2 Hours or Rest of day)


How long does it take to take effect?

It takes approximately 30 seconds but up to 2 minutes before the new access type takes effect.

Does the child get notified that a change has occurred?

No, the device will just apply the rules for the selected access type.  They can check home.tools or the app to see if the change has occurred.

No, the device will just apply the rules for access type they should have been in. They can check home.tools or the app to see if the change has occurred.

Can my child perform a quick time change themselves?

No, but they can request one through the app or the block page.  This will create a To do and send you a notification.

Yes, you can either update the base routine or put in a routine override.
