To manage In App Purchases via your online account:

  1. Sign in to your online account 

  2. Click on the user whose Internet Filtering Rules you want to manage

  3. Click on the Profile name in their dashboard

  4. Check the age profile is reflected in the first drop down box

  5. Select Device features from the second drop down box

  6. Toggle Permit In App Purchases (on iOS) to block (grey) or allow (blue) app installs

To manage In App Purchases via the Family Zone app on a parent device:

  1. Open the Family Zone app on a parent device

  2. Click on the user whose internet filtering rules  you want to change

  3. Click Internet filter & rules

  4. Select Device features from the drop down box

  5. Toggle Permit In App Purchases (on iOS) to block (grey) or allow (blue) app installs

How long before the change takes effect?

Rule changes take around 30 seconds (but up to 2 minutes) to take effect on the user’s device.

Can I allow In App Purchases remotely?

Sort of, you can permit In App Purchases for a short time to allow them complete their purchase and then block it again.

Can I block In App Purchases on Android devices?

Yes, you can block app purchases and this also blocks In App purchases.

If I’ve blocked my child from In App Purchasing how do I allow it?

If you want to complete an in app purchase on your child’s device and they’ve been blocked from accessing the app store you can borrow the device to your profile to gain access to the app store and the ability to complete in app purchases.
