My device won’t return to its original owner

The device should be loaned to the temporary owner for 60 minutes if completed without an access request or for the duration set when approving an access request.

Steps to resolve:

  • Check your online account or the Family Zone app installed on a parent’s device to make sure that the device ownership has returned to the correct owner

  • Browse to on the device to see who the current owner

  • Disconnect the device from the internet (e.g. turn on flight mode) and reconnect it

  • Reboot the device

  • If the device has one of Family Zone’s protection apps installed, open the app to refresh the details and see who the current owner is
