What is YouTube Restricted Mode?

YouTube Restricted Mode filters the content users see on YouTube.

How does YouTube Restricted Mode work?

There are two ways a video can be unblocked when YouTube Restricted Mode is turned on:

- YouTube’s automated system, which scans signals like the video’s metadata, title, and the language used in the video
- Age restrictions set by human reviewers
